Summary of GLOBALPACK & FOODTECH Exhibition

On November 12-13, 2023, the Israel-Greece Chamber of Commerce delegation participated in the international FOODTECH-GLOBALPACK exhibition in Greece, upon invitation by SA FORUM, the event organizers. The visit included business meetings focused on packaging, food processing machinery, labels, logistics, design, automation, robotics, and innovation, with an emphasis on exploring business collaborations.

The decision to proceed with the visit, despite challenging circumstances, was made with the intention of leveraging the opportunity for advocacy. The Chamber's management team, in collaboration with the event coordinator from SA FORUM, organized a series of business meetings. The delegation included prominent members from the Chamber and additional professionals.

Key Highlights:

The organizers demonstrated exceptional understanding, empathy, and support.
The delegation did not encounter hostility and was met with local support.
Approximately 74 B2B meetings were organized, along with additional spontaneous meetings with visitors interested in the delegation.
Discussions were held regarding future collaborations, including preparations for the XENIA and FOODEXPO exhibitions.
The visit was covered by local and regional media, including LIVE interviews with Kobi Biton and Dimitris Ziagas.
The delegation received extensive logistical support from the organizers, including flights, hotel accommodations, transportation, and meals.
